Profile:

School practicals are a compulsory part of your studies at TU Darmstadt in both teacher education degree programmes.

Numerous schools in the Rhine-Main Area cooperate with TU Darmstadt to make these school practicals (internships) possible. Students are not assigned to a specific school for their practical, but have to apply for a placement via our online practical placement exchange. With the first school practical, students have the opportunity to get to know their future “school” field of action from a new perspective early on in their studies. The School Practical (internship) aims for initiating the role change from student to teacher; thus, opening various opportunities to examine and think about your wish to become a teacher in a controlled environment.

This education-based module brings together students in teacher education programmes from all fields of science; thus, providing ample opportunities for networking.

The modules (School Practicals) run two semesters each and include an e-portfolio as study examination.
